Butterfly Koi For Sale Acclimation - Acclimating your butterfly koi fish is the first step you can do in order to make sure your koi fish has a smooth transition from our box to your aquariums or holding ponds.
Open the box of butterfly koi and touch the bag to see how cold or hot the water feels compared to your koi pond or freshwater aquarium. Do NOT open the plastic bag right away. Once the bag is open, all trapped oxygen for your butterfly koi is now gone. The most important thing in butterfly koi health is providing enough oxygen for your koi fish. If necessary, leave the bag of koi fish in the box for a short period of time to help in the acclimation process.
You can now remove the bag of butterfly koi from the box, and float the closed bag in your freshwater aquarium or koi pond. Once the temperature in the bag feels close to the temperature in the aquarium/pond, open the bag, scoop the butterfly koi fish out and release them into your aquarium/pond.
