PAYMENT TERMS

All fish prices are quoted FOB Ozark Fisheries, not including shipping and handling. Until such time as satisfactory credit is established, we require prepayment in the form of cash, money order or credit card at the time the order is placed. Otherwise all orders are sent prepaid or COD. COD payments are only available with FedEx shipments. Air freight and UPS shipments will not be sent COD. To do business on credit, a Credit Application must be completed in full, signed and approved by our office. Once credit is established, our terms are net 10 days. In the event an account becomes past due, future shipments will be on a prepayment or COD basis only until the past due amount is satisfied in full. Interest will be charged on all accounts past due at the rate of 1.5% per month. All wire transfer fees are to be paid by the customer. In those instances where additional paperwork is required such as health certificates, etc., we reserve the right to assess an additional handling charge per shipment. In the event of any returned checks, the customer’s account will be charged $25 for each returned item. We offer MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express and PayPal as options to prepay for an order and/or to pay off any open balances on your account. Our minimum order is $200. Any order less than the minimum is charged a $10 service charge.

SHIPPING OPTIONS

We ship by air freight from St. Louis and Chicago for Monday arrival. We also ship by air freight from Indianapolis every weekday. Monday air freight orders must be received by Noon CST the preceding Friday. Tuesday through Friday air freight orders need to be placed by 10 AM CST the day before you wish to receive your shipment. All air freight and freight forwarding charges are to be paid directly by the customer, unless prearranged with our office.

We also offer to door-to-door service with UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, FedEx Priority Overnight for US shipments and DHL International for Canadian shipments. You can receive shipments Tuesday through Friday with these services and we kindly request that your order be placed by 10 AM CST in order to receive your shipment the next day. Freight rates vary by location and service type, and we will assist you with choosing the most affordable option.

PACKING RATES

The packing rates listed are our suggested packing rates for winter and summer weather. You are not required to order full box lots, and we also offer quarter and half bag packing options for all items that are 6” and under in size. Packing rates listed on the price list are subject to change due to travel schedules and weather conditions. If you request for fish packed at heavier packing rates than suggested by us, Ozark Fisheries assumes no liability should any loss occur.

PACKAGING

In addition to the prices quoted for our fish, there is a per carton packaging charge. The packaging charge includes all necessary items for safe travel of your shipment during ideal weather conditions. This includes a box, plastic bags and ice packs when needed. If styrofoam liners or foil liners are needed due to uncontrollable weather conditions, there will be an extra charge for these items. However, you will be notified before these additional items will be used on your order.

GUARANTEE

Live delivery of our fish in good sellable condition is guaranteed. If any shipment is not satisfactory to you, we will gladly adjust your account to your complete satisfaction. For all fish less than 4” we add a 2% over count of fish to each carton shipped to offset normal losses that occur in transit. However, if a loss in excess of the 2% over count occurs, we will credit your invoice for that shipment, provided that you report the loss to us within 24 hours of receipt of our shipment. Credit for losses will be subject to the shipment of fish being picked up at the airport within a reasonable length of time after their arrival. Credits will be applied to the invoice corresponding to the shipment wherein the loss occurred. No cash refunds are made. Ozark Fisheries does not assume any liability or provide credit for sums greater than the invoiced amount of the fish only. We do not credit the customer’s account or accept any liability for the packaging, transportation and/or the customer's freight expenses. As stated under Packing Rates, in the event of a shipment made at packing rates other than our normal rates, as requested by the customer, Ozark Fisheries shall assume no liability should any loss occur.

Ozark Fisheries does its best to deliver a healthy product. As with all livestock, goldfish and koi are susceptible to outbreaks of disease. For this reason we suggest you quarantine new arrivals and recommend your customers do the same. Ozark Fisheries cannot accept responsibility for conditions created by mixing new fish and old fish.
